Environmental Technician
Maser Consulting is seeking Environmental Technicians to join our company!
- Perform Wetland delineations in accordance with the Army Corp of Engineers Wetland Delineation Manual. May require travel to New York and Pennsylvania as well as throughout NJ.
- Prepare applications for wetland verifications and permits to regulatory agencies.
- Prepare NJDEP Land Use applications, reports and supporting documentation for all permits to facilitate site development and redevelopment.
- Facilitate permit procurement from jurisdictional agencies.
- Prepare Jurisdictional Determinations for review by the Army Corp of Engineers and NJ, PA, and NY DEP.
- Perform Threatened and Endangered Species Habitat Evaluations, and correspondence with regulatory agencies and permit management.
- Responsible for the preparation of Environmental Impact Statements.
- Identify and delineate jurisdictional freshwater wetlands and identify plant materials and soils.
- Preparation of written correspondence - Outside agencies, client, attorney, contractor, etc. Also includes preparation of technical reports.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, or related scientific discipline.
- 0-3 years of relevant experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Self-starter, can work independently and with team members.
- Basic knowledge of grading and drainage design.
