Rehab Aide [Paid Internship]

Position Summary
The Rehabilitation Aide will assist the Office Coordinator and clinicians by performing requested
administrative and clinical duties. They will greet patients as they arrive to the clinic and work alongside
the clinicians during therapy as applicable. These duties will be conducted in compliance with state
practice act requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepares patients for therapy treatments, assist therapist during administration of treatments, and facilitates a safe and efficient flow of patient visits within the facility
- Safeguards, motivates, and assists patients during clinician prescribed exercises and functional activities under the direct supervision of the clinical staff
- Provides assistance with preparing hot/cold packs, and other modalities such as Ultrasounds, Electrical stimulation, etc.
- Cleans work area, tables and equipment after each treatment
- Inventories and requisitions supplies and equipment as requested
- Washes linens/towels, folds and maintains linen cabinets
- Maintaining restrooms and other areas such as windows as needed. Restocking or items such as paper towels, tissue paper, soap and supplies as applicable
- Assists office coordinator with answering phones and scheduling appointments
- Assist office coordinator with keeping track of both non‐medical and medical supplies for the clinic
- Files and scans paper work including but not limited to charts as needed
Additional Responsibilities:
- As applicable per location, could be responsible for urine and/or saliva collection for post offer drug screening
Job Requirements/Specifications
Education and Experience: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Previous Clinical Aide experience preferred
- High school graduate
- Current enrollment in pre-professional or professional school preferred
- Interest in health care field preferred
- Energetic and a team player
