Perception & Localization Engineer

ViaBot is looking for a passionate industry professional specializing in perception for mobile robotic systems. They will be responsible for:
  • Hands-on development with our autonomous mobile robot, RUNO
  • Developing perception algorithms for object detection
  • Design core mapping algorithms to create accurate world models
  • Implement key localization techniques using feature detection
Requirements:
  • M.S./B.S. in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field
  • Fluency in Python
  • Experience in software development
  • Must be able to take on multiple roles outside of job description
  • Must have work authorization in the United States
  • Not a remote position
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience with GPS and other GNSS
  • Experience with RealSense stereo depth cameras
  • SLAM, sensor fusion, and other localization techniques
  • Robotics Operating System (ROS)
  • Experience working in startups
  • Achievement in robotics competitions
