Entry Level Media Buyer

As an Entry Level Media Buyer, you will conduct analysis, maintenance, and media optimization for National Television across the agencies of Omnicom Media Group. A strong candidate must demonstrate the ability to understand the basics of National Broadcast Media, learn and oversee computer functions, including Media Ocean, DDS and other in-house systems, and learn to utilize media research tools.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Analyze syndicated research data to determine what networks/dayparts/stations will best reach
  • the target audience
  • Calculate projected audience delivery/ratings, as well as response levels and call volumes
  • Work hand-in-hand with the Investment Account Executives on the team –to execute client
  • marketing goals and objectives
  • Input and maintain daily/weekly media schedules
  • Identify and resolve billing discrepancies with vendors
  • Construct post-buy analyses to determine actual delivery of the schedule—from both a Direct
  • Response and Awareness basis

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in advertising, marketing, business
  • administration, and communications
  • Internship with an advertising/media agency is strongly preferred
  • Basic knowledge of Media
  • Efficient handling with budgets and forecasts
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Self-motivated, pro-active assistance in team efforts
  • Exceptional organizational skills, multi-tasking capabilities and detail oriented
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong communication and people skills; positive attitude and team player
  • Prior Knowledge of Media Tools and Donovan Data Systems is a plus but not required
