Speech Language Pathologist CCC - Camp Wood, TX

Position: Speech Language Pathologist [SLP]

Summary: The Speech Language Pathologist provides services to adult and/or pediatric populations with speech, language, cognitive, communication, developmental, and voice disorders. Responsibilities:
  • Awareness and response to various stimuli, environments, and daily tasks.
  • Comprehension of verbal, non-verbal, and written language, symbols, gestures, and/or communication contexts.
  • Ability to express needs, thoughts, feelings, emotions, and opinions through verbal and/or non-verbal methods.
  • Problem solving, orientation, memory, attention, planning, and organization.
  • Specialized equipment such as augmentative devices, speaking valves, and/or auditory/visual aids.
  • Oral and pharyngeal muscle strength, activity tolerance, tone, and coordination.
  • Swallow maneuvers and techniques.
  • Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
  • Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) standards.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Enhances practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Requirements:
  • Master's Degree or equivalent as recognized by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) in Speech/Language Pathology
  • Maintain valid state Speech Language Therapy License is required
  • Superior Verbal Communication, Patient Services, Health Care Administration, Teamwork, Use of Medical Technologies, Bedside Manner, Dependability, Health Promotion and Maintenance
  • Must possess intermediate computer skills
