Summary:

Our long-term Partner nursing home facilities offer outstanding opportunities, with competitive compensations, for dynamic Physical Therapists, who provide quality services by evaluating and treating patients to reduce pain as well as restore strength and flexibility in an attempt to limit physical disability. This position must provide superior communication skills, customer satisfaction and follow required guidelines while maintaining nursing home and Century Rehab’s stellar reputation.
Position Focus:
Physical Therapists conduct routine examinations to measure each patients’ balance, posture and muscle performance as well as review and understand their medical history. Once exam is completed, a customized rehabilitation and treatment plan is developed to increase strength and lessen pain. Treatment plans often include different exercises and stretches, as well as hands-on therapies and machines to assist with improving muscle strength, range of motion and motor function. In addition, our Therapists will provide documentation of patient prognosis, treatment goals, responses, education on treatments and techniques to benefit patient and establish channels of communication with Nursing Staff. Our Physical Therapist will usually encourage patients to adopt a fitness plan to help strengthen their muscles with exercise equipment. Sometimes electronic stimulation will also be used to work on soft tissue muscles that are more difficult to strengthen. Physical therapists will also consult with other health care professionals, including Physicians, to offer patients the best, most holistic care possible.

Requirements:
  • Maintain valid state Physical Therapy License is required
  • Must possess intermediate computer skills
  • Provide appropriate level of communication
  • Supervision of Physical Therapy Assistants at multiple sites may be required
