SW Engineer I

As a Software Engineer, you will develop high quality web based applications for new and existing features. You’ll help build web and service-oriented applications on a .Net platform as well as delighting users with a clean, intuitive interface using the latest web technologies. You will also have the opportunity to bring your creative ideas to the table to deliver better solutions to our users.

Nestled in the rolling hills of middle TN; we are located directly south of Nashville, TN & directly north of Huntsville, AL which is a reverse commute for most commuters in larger metropolitan areas. The Pulaski office is responsible for the #1 Comparative Rater for Personal Lines Insurance in the country. Our office is responsible for all aspects of the development cycle, including UI, Content, Quality Assurance, Customer Support and Distribution, as well as being part of a bigger organization on the verge of creating the newest software for Rating and Managing Insurance products around the country.

•     BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent

•     Experience with .NET, C# and common frameworks preferred

•     Strong skills with web services ( RESTful) preferred

•     Have an understanding of the entire development process, including specification and documentation

•     Experience with implementing software development principles and design patterns

•     Can interact with customers to gather insight and translate technical concepts

•     Operate in a fast-paced, flexible work environment

•     Excellent communication skills

•     Are self-motivated and excellent problem-solvers

•     Have an intense passion for programming

•     Care about quality and know what it means to ship high quality code

•     Have experience working in an Agile environment
