Quality Assurance Technician

Role Purpose:

• Quality assessments of insect and mite cultures developing in production
• Quality assessments of products pre-and post-shipping to customers
• Reports on quality assessments

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Process controls: A daily schedule of sampling and assessing insect and mite cultures.
• Product Controls: Make technical assessments of packaged products prior (Pre-Shipment) and after (Post-Shipment) shipping.
• R & D: assist in improving QC methods and developing new sampling techniques.
• Record taking, reports, etc:

1. Quality assessments: Process Control assessment forms & reports.
2. General: other reports as required.

• Support: will assist in other departments as needed

Knowledge, skills, and experience:

• Prefer 2 - 4 years of university in the sciences
• Attention to detail.
• Some work experience
• Strict hygiene work practices/good housekeeping.
• Working with microscope.
• Able to work alone & as part of a team.
• Good note/record taking.
• Eye for detail/good observational skills
