Spring 2020 Supply Chain Management Intern

A Day in the Life of a Supply Chain (Modalgistics) Intern 

Work Schedule:
  • Monday to Friday
  • 7:00AM to 4:00PM 
  • During the months of January through April
 
The supply chain is the day-to-day lifeblood connecting any business and its customers. As an intern, you will work on improving the flow of materials, information, and products across the supply chain. You will be working with customers to create and implement customized supply chain solutions by leveraging a triad approach to supply chain improvement using Strategic Supply Chain Design, Operational assessment and improvement, and world class technology solutions.
 
Interns work on projects such as:
-Strategic Network Design Transportation Bid development.
-Execution Shipment planning and optimization.
-Customer shipping activity analysis and Customer fleet analysis and sizing.
 
Our work environment is dynamic and demanding and requires the ability to work on a team and as a self-starter. Interns may interact with internal Norfolk Southern departments and external customers. Specific skills a co-op student should expect to gain with Modalgistics include a mastery of data manipulation and analysis using Microsoft Excel and Access. A solid understanding of strategic supply chain software such as SSA Global¡¦s Supply Chain Design.
 
Education/Experience
Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree
-Preferred Majors: Business Administration, Business Intelligence, Industrial Engineering and Industrial Systems Engineering and majors in a similar field of study will be considered.
 
Compensation
Freshman - $2,500/month
Sophomore - $2,800/month
Junior - $3,000 /month
Senior - $3,300/month
Graduate Student - $3,666/month
*Housing stipend for those who qualify $850/month (Taxed)
