WHO WE ARE
Chaska is an NGO operating in Peru. Chaska is dedicated to helping children in impoverished situations and empowering them to live the life they want. They do this through financial, educational, and emotional support as well as a comprehensive after school program which focused on each child individually. The goal is to help these students reach their goals and creak the cycle of poverty
SCOPE OF WORK AKA WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
The 2022 Spring Intern will operationalize and maintain a social media engagement plan. The engagement plan will include strategies and content that engages our audience with issue-specific information relating to the effects of poverty on women and children, education on the intersecting social disparities that impact quality of life, education on topics like gender equity, the effects of education on quality of life, disparities in education etc. Content should also increase awareness of the Chaska program and our current activities/updates. The goal of this internship is to have an engaging social media presence with frequent postings that align with the work being done at Chaska.
Deliverables:
- Content for 1-2 social media postings each week
- Content for 1-2 social media stories each week
- Content calendar
- Scheduled posts on social media (facebook publisher)

WHO AM I?
My name is Kate Myers. I am the president of the board of directors for Chaska and I am working to build up our NGO in the USA to bring awareness to this great organization and raise money.
You will be working directly with me and the rest of the Board of this growing Non-Profit!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Important: I develop an internship personal to each intern. It is very important that you get the experience and learning that you want. Below are some of the areas that we need help. Interested in any of these? Apply!
· Create content for social media and growing our online presence
· Develop and execute a marketing strategy / Social Media Strategy
· Run online fundraising campaigns
· Manage social media accounts
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
· INTERNSHIP OPEN TO ALL MAJORS AND YEARS IN UNIVERSITY
· Social Media Guru with Entrepreneurial spirit
· Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
· Creative thinker. Do you love coming up with new ideas?
