IMMEDIATE OPENING Youth Planning and Promotions Intern

Currently, the World Food Prize operates Youth Institutes in 25 states, with the goal of having a youth institute in every state. Each semester, a highly qualified undergraduate or graduate student is chosen to assist with promoting and expanding World Food Prize youth programs. This intern works closely with the Director of National Education Programs to assist with educational programming and outreach. Various duties include:  
  • Assisting with in-state outreach for each state with a youth institute
  • Building relationships with teachers, students, parents, partners, advisors and other supporters
  • Coordinate media outreach - creating media advisories and press releases promoting the Youth Programs and interesting stories about participants
  • Assist with the planning and coordination of the State Youth Institutes
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, have strong oral and written communication skills, a background in STEM education, and attention to detail.
