Corporate Intern: Information Technology - Summer 2020

Information Technology Interns at Caterpillar perform the same challenging work assignments as our new full-time hires. We work with our teams to ensure that every intern gains the appropriate professional and personal growth necessary to be successful in a corporate environment. This position is a great way to gain hands on experience by supporting the IT operations at a world-leading manufacturing company. Summer 2020 interns will work 40 hours a week from May 18, 2020 to August 7, 2020. Below are areas of open internship positions:
* Application Support & Development
* DevOps Strategy, Tooling & Support
* Mobile Collaboration
* Cloud Technologies
* Infrastructure
* Cyber Security
* IT Controls & Governance
* Software Asset Management
* Vendor Management
* IT support for manufacturing facilities and other functional areas

Requirements:
*Must be enrolled full time at a 4-year accredited university/college in an IT related degree program or sequence
*Minimum cumulative GPA requirement 2.8 (no rounding)
*Expected graduation date December 2020 and beyond.
*Must be able to relocate to Peoria, IL area or indicated work location for duration of internship, and complete daily work commute using reliable transportation.
 
Desired Qualifications:
*Leadership experience
*Previous internship in Information Technology
*Proficiency in any of the computer software applications or programming languages or technologies. Examples include: Java, JavaScript, SQL, DB2, IMS, .NET, C, C++, C#, Node.js, HTML, AWS, Azure, Web Content Management or CSS
*Good analytical and problem-solving skills and must be detail oriented
*Customer focused
*Effective time management skills
*Strong verbal and written communication skills
*Able to work independently or as a collaborative team member
*Ability to learn and comply with company policies and procedures
