ROLE SYNOPSIS
Role synopsis
As an HR Intern, we will help develop the skills needed of a successful professional at BP. The line manager will set objectives at the start of your summer and ensure you have the training and equipment needed to succeed. We have unique roles and opportunities available to each of our intern cohorts.
HR People Advisor
The HR People Advisor role provides business process support to assigned clients across a broad range of HR-related issues, policies, and practices. Responsibilities may include salary planning, employee relations, performance management, talent management, diversity & inclusion, change management, resourcing, and policy interpretation.
HR Centers of Excellence
These roles provide opportunities to gain a deeper experience and understanding within a specific HR discipline. Typical opportunities would include:

The assignment will provide an opportunity to participate in substantive, value work that will improve your human resources skills, while working in a highly-professional corporate environment!

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements
• A cumulative and major GPA of 3.2 or higher
• BP will not support US Immigration sponsorship for full-time or long-term employment
• A Bachelor's degree from a recognized institute of higher learning
• Geographically mobile and willing to relocate
Preferred Requirements
• The applicant will be available for a continuous 12-week period for duration of internship
• Master’s degree in Human Resources or MBA with an HR concentration
• Proficiency in more than one language
• Students should join us during the summer prior to their intended graduation year. Internships are not available for students who have completed their degree or who will graduate prior to the conclusion of the internship

Summer internships last 12 weeks.

SEGMENT
Human Resources sits within Corporate & Business Functions which is the commercial core of BP. It’s where you’ll find teams from IT and finance to procurement and supply chain management, all working together to drive innovation and standard methodology across the business. Interns will:

• Provide insight and opinions on a whole range of elements.
