CRM Publications Individual Placement

Position Summary:

The Cultural Resource Management (CRM) Publications Individual Placement is based in Washington, D.C. with the National Park Service. This 6-month AmeriCorps position will work to provide CRM-related support to the parks and partners in the National Capital Region through the development of reports and communications materials. The Individual Placement (IP) will primarily work on office-based assignments under the mentorship and support of the NPS Staff. The reports created by the IP will provide park resource managers with guidance and information that support caretaking of National Park cultural resources including historic structures and cultural landscapes. The IP may also catalog and otherwise improve access to cultural resource reports and related products that were produced by and for the National Parks of the National Capital Region. In addition, the IPs will be encouraged to attend NPS-sponsored trainings, and to take part in the activities of other resource programs.  The AmeriCorps Intern will receive a $500 per week living stipend. Housing is not provided. This position will also be eligible for an education award based on the length of the service term.
