Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Intern
The EHS Intern will assist the EHS Manager, EHS Specialist(s) and cross functional teams to improve safety culture and to meet/exceed regulatory and corporate policy requirements. The position is intended to be a full-time opportunity for an Occupational Health and Safety or Industrial Engineering undergraduate to obtain hands-on EHS experience with a wide variety of tasks while contributing to the company’s overall goals and objectives.
- Assist in developing and maintaining EHS written and training programs
- Create and review JSA (Job Safety Analysis) with cross-functional groups
- Perform Ergonomic Risk Assessments and evaluations
- Perform new hire orientation training
- Complete hazardous waste storage area inspections
- Participate in annual Risk Assessments
- Co-lead EHS Corporate Safety Committee
- Perform annual chemical inventory review
- Support daily EHS activities (i.e. audits, incident investigations, corrective action follow-up etc.)
- Administer New Hire Orientation
- Perform noise mapping
- Certify chemical fume hoods
- Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork
- Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures
- Regular and reliable attendance
