2020 Summer Internship - Chicago

Job Title:                     2020 Summer Intern
Business Unit:  Various Departments
Location:                     Chicago                       

Program Summary:
You will gain valuable experience in how your field of study supports the success at a Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) business. The internship will focus on a variety of special projects with your assigned department. We also offer:

  • Industry knowledge: attain knowledge of futures industry and the business of an FCM, work with and learn from industry experts
  • Technical knowledge: gain exposure to proprietary technology, assist with process improvement and automation
  • Global exposure: collaborate on projects with colleagues from our international offices
  • Apply classroom knowledge to answer business needs

Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Supporting your affiliated department with various projects and tasks
  • Analyzing broader market and industry trends which may affect your department
  • Preparing research and strategy presentations
  • Providing customer service to clients and internal team members as necessary
  • Bringing closure to issues, questions and requests
  • Solving problems independently

Internship Requirements:
  • Ability to work a full 40-hour work week in the Chicago office
  • Ability to work for the full duration of the 9-week internship program through the months of June – August
  • Must be registered as a full-time student in June 2020, preferably a rising junior or rising senior 

Qualifications:
  • The successful candidate will bring a proactive mindset, passion for the Futures industry and ability to learn new systems quickly
  • The role requires effective communication and collaboration within the team and across multiple departments
  • Proactive orientation towards executing tasks and projects with limited direction
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment
