POSITION: Contractor Safety Specialist
STARTING DATE: Immediately. Resumes accepted until a suitable candidate is selected.
The Davey Resource Group (DRG) is currently hiring individuals with previous tree crew experience to join our workforce.
POSITION LOCATIONS: (Chico and Redding, CA) (Santa Rosa to Willits, CA)
DUTIES:
- Work with major electric utility system and its vegetation management department
- Perform safety compliance observations on contractor vegetation workers in the field
- Observe crews for adherence to mandated safety protocols and procedures
- Capture findings and maintain records through cloud based application
- Communicate findings with crew and their leadership
- Travel throughout central and northern California
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience working on a tree crew, utility line clearance is preferred
- Knowledge of applicable safety standards (ANSI A300, Z133, OSHA 1910)
- Organizational skills, excellent communication skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to work and hike in rugged terrain and inclement weather
- Clean DMV driving record and ability to drive and operate a 4x4 vehicle
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- TCIA Certified Tree Safety Professional
- International Society for Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborist
- OHSA 10/ 30hr Training Certificates
- Certified Line Clearance Tree Trimmer
