GIS Technician

The GIS Tech will assist in the development and maintenance of county-wide GIS data under the supervision of the GIS Manager or GIS Project Coordinator. The applicant must have strong working familiarity with ESRI software and an eye to the future for implementing new technologies. The Technician will develop effective working relationships with other local government agencies on a wide variety of subjects from land ownership to public safety, as well as fulfilling requests from the public. Good communication and written skills. the ability to work with accuracy and speed, prioritize work, and meet deadlines is essential. GIS tasks must be adequately documented, including metadata.
