Chinese/English Bilingual Insurance Account Assistant

As an Insurance Assistant, you will play a supporting role to Account Managers in our relationships with our Property & Casualty, and Life Insurance Clients, as well as with our insurance carriers and industry partners. The ideal candidate will have a basic knowledge of insurance along with analytical abilities and good communication skills. You will work closely with our Account Managers to build risk management programs for our Clients and create a good relationship with our insurance carriers. The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment is essential. At Zhou Agency (Jun Zhou Insurance Agency), you will have the ability to grow in your job and enhance your insurance knowledge on an ongoing basis. Based on performance, you may have the chance to become our permanent full-time employee after your internship.

We started as a Farmers Exclusive Agency back in 2003 and in the 12 years we carried the Farmers brand, our agency became one of the top Farmers agencies in the nation. In order to provide our clients with better solutions to their risk management needs, we became an Independent Insurance Agency in 2015. Now we have contracts with 30+ carriers and we can find the best fit for our clients. Our Agency’s motto is: we do not sell our clients insurance products, we provide risk management solutions.

We spend a lot of time and energy to know our clients through extensive fact-finding process, then we go out to the market and communicate with many insurance carriers to secure the best value insurance coverage for our clients. We are also big on education. We want our clients to understand the risk and the risk management solution so that they make informed decisions.

• Assist Account Managers in managing assigned accounts

• Assist Account Managers with daily operations

• Support with renewal of Insurance policies

• Perform assigned other tasks from Account Managers

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to speak and write English and Chinese Mandarin is a must

• Must possess strong organizational skills and time management

• Perform tasks with superior professional demeanor, including interaction with staff and clients

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel is necessary

• Undergraduate Degree or equivalent

• Business related coursework such as: finance and/or real estate

• Basic knowledge of insurance risk management concepts and techniques or Insurance Industry experience a plus
