Equipment Auditor Internship - Summer 2020

EQUIPMENT AUDITOR INTERNSHIP, SUMMER 2020

We have an opening for two Equipment Auditor Intership positions beginning in mid to late May through early August 2020. This Monday through Friday position will be approximately 40 hours per week with occasional overtime. This position is based out of the West Des Moines office and entails approximately 90% overnight travel in our eight state operation region, and 10% in the office. Training will be provided along with a company car, laptop computer and paid hotel, travel, and meal expenses.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:
  • Verify the equipment at each store.
  • Perform audit procedures on store equipment and make changes to each store’s equipment asset listing.
  • Complete and submit weekly an equipment change report
  • Assist the Equipment Department personnel in researching the location of equipment and processing the equipment changes.
  • Perform equipment audit for Hy-Vee owned equipment located offsite, at warehouses, and at the Corporate Office.
  • Validate expenses weekly.
  • Other projects as assigned.
  • THE SUCCESSFUL CANIDATE WILL HAVE:
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook and the aptitude to learn Hy-Vee’s internal software programs helpful.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented, strong critical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Self starter
  • An accounting background is helpful, but not required.
  • A valid drivers license
  • Two years Hy-Vee retail experience is helpful, but not required. If no Hy-Vee experience, candidate must have completed sophomore year of college.
