This is a 10-week paid internship with flexible hours. The individuals selected will be provided experiences in our major departments to gain hands-on retail management knowledge and learn how store management facilitates the process of planning, implementation and execution of store operations and merchandising.

 

Interns will be supplied with training guidelines as well as a mentor to facilitate an effective learning environment. Participants will be charged with completing a final project focused on driving sales and profit in their training store. The project will provide an opportunity to apply the skills learned during the internship.

 

The schedule for the internship will depend on store location and will include travel and overnight stays to the Hy-Vee Training and Education Center located in Urbandale, IA from June 1st - June 5th, 2020.

 

Training Locations: IA, IL, KS, MN, MO, NE, SD, WI

 

Must be a college junior or senior pursuing a career in retail.

Ability to interact with people in a friendly, professional manner.

Passion for retail sales, culinary expertise and customer experience.
