BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES:
Work with purchasing team on variety of duties such as products, credits, freight rates, and orders for subsidiary locations.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Accountable and Reports to (Job Title): Assistant Vice-President, Produce Purchasing

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND FREQUENCY:
- Update product groups and subgroups in OMI system.
- Work with purchasing team to keep freight rates up to date on weekly basis.
- Use available technology to keep department and teams organized and efficient.
- Reviews produce orders via the telephone from the stores.
- Calculates quantities of certain items to determine product for sale.
- Processes credits to stores.
- Monitors the reserve system as loads are received.
- Helps handle orders for our subsidiaries.
- Help team with vacation coverage and assist other teams when needed.
6.) Reports to work when scheduled and on time.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES: (These are considered occasional in nature)
- Assists with special sales to stores.
- Fills in as needed throughout the department.
- Enters ad items into system for following week.
- Performs other job related duties and special projects as required.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM JOB:
- Must have the ability to solve practical problems; variety of variables with limited standardization; interpret instructions.
- Ability to copy data from one record to another; interview to obtain basic information; process mail; write form letters or routine correspondence; and have increased contact with people.
- Ability to do arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.

- Must be physically able to perform sedentary work: exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
- Visual requirements include clarity of vision at 20 inches or less up to 20 feet or more with or without correction.
- Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Fingering, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The duties of this position are performed in an office setting. There is frequent pressure to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects in a day.
EQUIPMENT USED TO PERFORM JOB:
10 key calculator, FAX, copier, telephone, printer, and PC.

Has access to confidential information including pricing.
