The Full Stack Team
At Perfect Tense, we are building an AI-powered solution that enables any website or app to add intelligent spelling and grammar correction to their text areas. As the Full Stack team, we deliver this solution to our users via two different methods; our JavaScript library which our users can access by adding a JS snippet to their website, and our API which users can use to create their own custom solutions. Our team constantly develops these solutions as well as collaborates with the Artificial Intelligence team to improve Perfect Tense’s AI.
The Full Stack team has a direct impact on the product and our users. Perfect Tense is intended to work on any website or app on the web. So, as a team, we measure our impact by tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) like the user experience, seamless connectivity, and, the percentage of websites that Perfect Tense supports (the more websites we support, the more people we can help communicate better!).
We’re looking for a strong, motivated, and creative engineer to lead our Full Stack team.
Your impact as a Senior Full Stack Developer
As a Senior Full Stack Developer you will create an intuitive user experience that scales and supports every website on the web, you will write production code that will be used by hundreds of thousands of people around the world, and, you will be pushing the technical boundaries of reactive functional programming.
Our Full Stack Developers play a key role in all aspects of our software stack. By leading our small and collaborative team you will gain a wide range of experience in different areas of software development.
As a Senior Full Stack Developer, you will:
- Develop the core Perfect Tense product and optimize for associated metrics.
- Improve the utility with an eye for clean UI/UX.
- Architect and craft solutions to the complex backend and front challenges.
- Collaborate with the Artificial Intelligence team to use product interactions to improve our core AI algorithms.
- Work with the product team to make Perfect Tense a more beautiful, intuitive, and useful product.
- Programming languages and databases you will be working with include React, Javascript/TypeScript, Ruby, MySQL, Cassandra, Redis.
This role is a good fit if:
- You have a Computer Science Degree (or similar)*
- You are extremely comfortable in at least one scripting language (Javascript/Python/PHP/Ruby)
- You have proficient knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Javascript/TypeScript
- You are experienced with an MVC framework such as Ruby on Rails, Symfony, Django, Spring, CodeIgniter, etc.
- You have RDBMS experience
- You have a good sense of design and UI/UX
- You are fluent in written and spoken English
- You feel you are the type of person who excels at whatever you do
