2020 Summer Internship Program- Portfolio/Relationship Management (Des Moines)

What you’ll do

As an intern, you’ll:
- get hands-on experience solving business needs,
- support communities where we live and work,

- get paired with a formal mentor,
- attend social and professional development events,
- learn on how to work on a team,
- develop business acumen
- and more.

Portfolio/Relationship Management Internship

Internship Responsibilities May Include:

• Supporting a wealth management advisor, personal trust specialist and/or private banking specialist

• Performing industry research on large corporate clients and customers

• Responding to account inquiries, and perform account maintenance and execute transactions

• Creating monthly compilation of tax credit, equity and fees forecast reporting

• Assisting with preparing credit memos

• Performing research on a specific topic related to wealth management, institutional investing and private capital funds

• Conducting fixed income and portfolio analysis

• Performing other related duties as requested

• Conducting internal/external client calls with relationship managers

• Working with relationship managers to prepare new product presentations

• Assisting with client relationship expansion initiatives

• Participating in team meetings and performing new prospect searches

• Performing other related duties as requested

 Potential titles may include:

• Portfolio Manager

• Relationship Manager

• Investment Management

 Basic qualifications:
  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree
Preferred qualifications:
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Ability to think and work independently within a professional setting
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Flexibility to work within a multi-discipline team and receive dynamic on-the-job training
  • Highly organized; ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
