Your Responsibilities

As a Hydraulic Design Engineer working for John Deere Construction & Forestry Division, located in Dubuque, IA, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of plumbing and components for hydraulic systems on excavators. In addition, you will:
    * Participate in all design related aspects of the Deere product delivery process for hydraulic systems & components
    * Act as a key point of contact to hydraulic components suppliers in the US and Globally
    * Collaborate with peers in China and India to execute PDP programs as well as continuous improvement activities
    * Collaborate with PV&V group to define component qualification documentation
    * Evaluate key hydraulic benchmark points on competitive excavators

What Skills You Need
    * Strong communication and organizational skills
    * Product design skills in the area of hydraulics and hydraulic systems
    * 1 or more years cumulative design experience (internships and school projects are acceptable
    * Ability to travel up to 25% (International)

What Makes You Stand Out
    * Experience with hydraulic system component design, diagnostics, or repair including hoses, tubes, cylinders, valves, motors, and pumps
    * Experience utilizing Creo & PDM link in a system design environment
    * Excellent organizational and communication skills to facilitate activities with supply management, quality, PV&V, suppliers, and other stakeholders
    * Previous successful project management and leadership skills
    * International experience, knowledge of Asian cultures, and Mandarin language skills

Education (or equivalent work experience)
    * Bachelors of Science Degree in Engineering
