Front End Software Engineer

As a Front End Software Engineer, your work is critical to uncovering valuable insights that help shape the organization’s future – influencing performance, strategic planning, and decision-making to create the optimal conditions for talent to thrive.
 
Working with colleagues and stakeholders you will develop tools and applications to support areas crucial to team performance, such as basketball analytics, player evaluation, and physical performance research.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
Other day-to-day duties include:
·        Manage, implement, and maintain applications related to basketball operations
·        Develop impactful visualizations, tools, applications, and ongoing deliverables
·        Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and develop prototypes
·        Carry out other administrative tasks consistent with the policies and procedures of the NBA and OKC Thunder
 
QUALIFICATIONS
·        Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
·        2+ years of experience in front end or full stack software development
·        Experience with HTML5 and CSS3 web standards
·        Knowledge of frontend frameworks such as Angular or React
·        UI/UX design experience
·        Proven respect for confidentiality
·        Strong communication skills—ability to deliver clear and effective messages to a variety of stakeholders
·        Must be able to work long hours on short notice
 
* This is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the Director of Data Science & Solutions / Insight & Foresight.
