Marketing & Communications Assistant

As a Marketing and Communications Assistant you are responsible for sharing the True Friends story to the greater public. Using social media, blog, website, print and digital materials, MarComm Assistants will find unique ways to showcase our programs and activities including summer camp, respite services, horse therapy, retreats, team building, travel events and much more.

Marketing and Communications Assistants will:

·        Identify unique opportunities to showcase individuals, places and things in a variety of indoor and outdoor settings.

·        Research, write, edit, develop and create materials to be used for marketing True Friends to our audiences through print, social media, website and many other platforms.

·        Collaborate with Digital Media Specialists to complete service specific marketing projects.

Seasonal position.

Orientation starts May 26, 2020

End date: August 14, 2020 (flexible)

You should apply if you are…

·        Current college junior or senior level student with an emphasis in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing and/or Journalism.

·        Possess excellent writing, editing, organizational and computer skills.

·        Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task is a must.

·        Interest in human interest stories, working with people from all over the world in a recreational environment.

·        Passionate about making a difference in the world.

·        Happy to live and work in a communal setting.

·        Eager to take initiative and have a strong work ethic.

·        Able to be flexible and adapt to an ever-changing environment.
