Technical IT Analyst

All Technical IT Analysts joining the Shell Graduate Program will join the Data Analytics, Cybersecurity, or Business Performance Teams. 

 

Data Analysis Team:

·        Prevent and predict outcomes based on large amounts of data

·        Predictive and prescriptive analytics

·        Reporting into CDO (Chief Data Officer) for business

·        Extraction (ETL, database, tools)

·        Transformation (blending, modelling, cleansing)

·        Storage (pipelining, database management)

·        Processing (message queuing, stream processing)

 

Cybersecurity Team:

·        Detection and response.

·        Secure and reliable operations, reacting and resolving issues that come through.

·        Reporting to senior line manager

·        Highly technical professionals that work across platforms, i.e. windows, linux, cloud, DBs, etc.

·        Extremely marketable, industry average salaries are among the highest in IT

·        A fast-paced environment that pivots quickly as technology changes

·        visible at the highest levels of the organization, i.e. we’ve been visited by the CEO and EC members.

 

Business Performance Team:

 

·        Get to work with the leading edge technology companies – Amazon, Google, Microsoft, C3IOT

·        Be part of the architecture team in evaluating solution – do proof of concepts

·        Understand the development of standards and standard services in IT at Shell

·        Broad exposure to different technical areas – Network, Cloud, Data and Analytics, Mobility etc.
