2020 Summer Wilderness Trip Guide

North Star Camp is a residential boys summer camp in Northern Wisconsin. Founded in 1945 we've been providing meaningful summer experiences for kids from all over the US. We provide a diverse program with athletics, watersports, arts and adventure activities as well as a top notch wilderness trip program. Each summer we hire approximately 90 staff from all over the US and abroad. If you're looking for a more typical summer job, but in a fun environment, camp is the place.

Our trip leaders will lead groups of 10-12 kids and 2-3 adults on canoeing and hiking trips to places like Quetico Provincial Park, The Porcupine Mountains, The Brule and The Flambeau Rivers. North Star will pay to put all trip leaders through a Wilderness First Responder (WFR) and Life Guard certification courses.

North Star pays a very competitive summer salary, reimburses for travel expenses and will also pay to put staffers through various certification courses. We're looking for people eager to spend their summers as a part of our community, making a difference in the lives of children. All candidates are subject to a background check. We are a smoke free environment and all staff members must be able to pass a drug screening at the start of the summer.
