2020 Summer Internship - Regional Marketing, Latin America

The purpose of this internship is to prepare college juniors and seniors for entry into the business world by providing a thorough understanding of the various functions of the Zebra Technologies organization to include theory and practical application of attained knowledge. Project work will differ in each area depending on business needs, and all interns will participate in the US Zebra Internship Program. The program is designed to provide you with a full experience so that you can fully envision a career with Zebra. You be positioned for success with training, exposure to all parts of the business, social activities, a professional mentor relationship and development sessions to help you discover your own performance edge!
 
The direct Regional Marketing – Latin America team is made up for several marketing groups: Channel / Field Marketing, Vertical and Product Marketing, Distribution Marketing, and Channel Strategy & Programs. The Channel / Field Marketing team primarily focuses on all partner activities (Channel Partners throughout the region). The vertical and Product Marketing is newly created team for LATAM. They focus on vertical activities (end-user as well as partner facing) and product marketing activities such as launches, GTM plans, promotions and portfolio management.The Channel Strategy & Programs develops and manages the overall channel platform where we engage and manage the channel.

Responsibilities:

Project work will include:
  • Partner Mapping – continue the project previously managed by the 2019 intern. Evaluate the partners digital and social footprint across the region (web audit)
  • Partner website evaluation – see how Zebra is being represented
  • Partner social evaluation – how active the partners are on social media and how Zebra is represented / present
  • Partner utilization of MDF funds and claims submitted vs supporting documentation
  • Partner engagement with the co-marketing tool
  • Develop planning, organizational and time management skills
  • Increase technology knowledge and skills
  • Develop team-based work competencies
  • Develop interpersonal skills to communicate with employees
  • Develop interpersonal skills to communicate with day-to-day business contacts through follow up activities
  • Develop interpersonal skills to communicate with external and external customers

Qualifications:
  • Current enrollment in an undergraduate/graduate degree program in Marketing, Business Administration or other related field of study. If an undergraduate, must be at the rising junior or senior level
  • Must be able to communicate in both English and Spanish
  • Intellectual curiosity with a strong desire to learn and grow
  • Proven leadership and excellence in professional, academic and/or extracurricular experiences
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, & PowerPoint)
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship
  • Must reside within 50 miles from the primary work location
