Position Specific Description
Are you a student interested in building real-world graphic design experiences? We’re looking for a talented and knowledgeable graphic designer with fresh, creative ideas and an excellent eye for detail. The graphic design intern will be an integral part of the creative team and work on a wide range of design projects.
This internship position within the Marketing and Communication Department will provide mentoring and practical hands-on experience in a corporate setting. It offers challenging projects and assignments. It offers exposure to department activities; leadership and culture (i.e. staff meetings, networking, and meetings with key personnel).
Key areas of responsibility within the design (studio) team include:
  • Collaborate with the Creative Director and Studio team to develop designs from concept to completion for printing or digital applications
  • Basic knowledge of layouts, typography, line composition, color, and other graphic design fundamentals
  • Adhere to brand guidelines
  • Have strong creative and analytical skills
  • Detail oriented, organized and able to manage multiple projects while dealing with tight deadlines
  • Advanced level of experience using the MAC platform
  • Experience with the Adobe Creative suite of products (InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator)
  • Working knowledge of photography is beneficial but not required
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office as needed (Word, Excel and Power Point)
  • Utilize department project tracking system to manage workload, edits and details for each design project (no pre-qualifications necessary, we will train the selected intern on this process)
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
  • Presents final intern project experience to senior leadership at the end of the internship

Job Overview
To be considered for an internship, you must be actively enrolled at a college or university as a full-time student seeking a bachelor’s degree or higher. You must also have a current cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher (on a 0.00 to 4.00 scale).
Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assists department with assigned projects
  • Completes challenging projects and assignments
  • Presents final project to senior leadership at the end of the internship
  • Assumes responsibility for own travel, lodging, and transportation necessary to be available for the program
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • High school grad / GED
  • Maintain active enrollment in a Bachelor or higher degree program
  • Maintain cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
