Research Analyst

The Research Analyst will support rapid research capabilities with an emphasis on managing data and conducting analyses on Truth Initiative data.
 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Analyze and/or help prepare analytic plans data using a variety of statistical methods including logistic and linear regression, longitudinal or multilevel analysis or other techniques.
• Manage large data sets involving multiple years of data; ensuring consistent coding of variables across all survey waves; maintain records related to study response rates and retention; perform data cleaning, data validation, and reporting tasks.
•Conduct rapid response analyses for publication and presentation by senior staff in SI.
•Help to conceptualize study designs, investigate new methods to answer questions.
•Conduct literature searches and reviews; assist with as well as leading the production of manuscripts for peer-reviewed publication.
• Coordinate with other research analysts in conducting analyses, preparing datasets for use by others, and facilitating communication among collaborators, when necessary.
•Help with presentations of research findings at major conferences and meetings.
•Select and refine study measures, develop and implement surveys, interact with contractors, oversee quality control of data collection and summarize research findings.

 QUALIFICATIONS:
•Relevant work experience and 3-5 years of work experience and a Masters' degree in public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, or a related field with a strong background in quantitative methods. 
• Advanced skills/experience with programming and data management, along with knowledge of statistical research methodology/principles is desired. 
• Experience with programming languages such as SAS, STATA, or MPLUS is required.
• High level of organization and attention to detail, strong deductive reasoning skills, and the ability to maintain detailed documentation of data management and programming work. 
• Comfortable working with multiple investigators and multiple projects simultaneously.
• Superior communication skills (oral, written, and technical communication skills). Must be able to clearly communicate ideas and results of analyses with researchers of various backgrounds and work well in a fast-paced team environment.
