IT Operations Management Internship (CS/Information Technology Major)

Intern with our IT Operations Management Group in Tinley Park, Illinois.
The IT Operations Management team provides Tier 2 support for the organization and primarily works on projects to enhance the capabilities of the organization. These projects are primarily around the deployment of new hardware and software technologies as well as upgrades to existing technologies

Projects you will be working on include:
  • Replacement of end of life hardware: 
  • The student will learn how to utilize SCCM to build a computer, install software, and customer service skills through interaction with various employees in various locations.

  • Assessment of ServiceNow asset inventory health
  • The student will learn how to utilize and asset management system to keep an inventory of all IT hardware and correct any anomalies in the data. They will also be learning how to report on the data and recommend corrective action. Suggested improvements to existing systems will be welcomed.  

  • Knowledge Base Improvement:
  • The student will learn how to use ServiceNow Knowledge Bases to provide our employees with self service support options and provide our internal IT team with information to provide quick solutions to issues.

  • ServiceNow Virtual Agent enhancements:
  • The student will learn how to configure a virtual chat bot to integrate with our catalog of request items and knowledge articles.

Preferred Major:
  • Computer Science
  • Information Technology

  • Reporting & Presenting Information Skills.
  • PC Hardware/Software troubleshooting skills
  • Applicant should have knowledge about IT System Management (ITSM), Information Technology Infrastructure Learning Methodology (ITIL), and IT Operations Management (ITOM)
  • Applicants should have the ability to work independently
  • Applicants should have the ability to multitask, problem solve, prioritize and exercise critical thinking skills 
  • Applicants should be outgoing, confident personality with ability establish rapport.
