Human Resources Information System Analyst

The primary focus of the HRIS Analyst is to support the maintenance of the human resource information system (HRIS) in addition to other systems supported by the HRIS and Payroll team. Serve as a technical point-of-contact for assigned functional areas and assist subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, processing data, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. The HRIS Analyst also supports HRMS upgrades, patches, testing and other technical projects as assigned.
Responsibilities

  • Perform HRIS functions ensuring data integrity and the processing and reporting of HR data.
  • Serve as the HRIS system admin that will confirm accuracy and integrity of all data entered, maintain data in HRIS systems and databases, and assure information is available on a timely basis.
  • Assist with analyzing and determine current and future HRIS needs in conjunction with strategic business current and future objectives.
  • Assist HRIS and Payroll Lead with managing HRIS projects to include end user and third party provider activities pertaining to the design, development, testing, and implementation of application product and services.
  • Recommend process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes and/or major variations from established policy that must be approved by appropriate leadership prior to implementation.
  • Assist in the discovery, selection, and implementation of HRIS product solutions that position the company for the future.
  • Assist the HRIS and Payroll Lead in assessing HRIS needs for the company and help drive the implementation process solutions.
  • Supporting the implementation, configuration and administration of HRIS systems.
  • Assist in the review, testing and implementation of HRIS upgrades or patches. Review release notes from software providers to determine impact of change. Collaborate with functional and technical staff to coordinate application or upgrade or fix.
  • Reviewing, processing, and entering data in all applicable systems
  • Interpret and maintain proper documentation for additions, changes or deletions to the HRIS system.
  • Entering, maintaining data in HRIS systems and databases, and assuring information is available on a timely basis.
  • Perform group data updates, exports, imports, clean-ups, and researches/reports on any data discrepancies.
  • Interpret and maintain HRIS procedural documentation for additions, changes or deletions to the HRIS system.
  • Develop training and documentation of HR systems for users and help drive use of HR systems by employees and managers companywide.
  • Review and verify HRIS documents for compliance and consistency with policies and procedure.
  • Deliver routine daily/weekly/monthly reporting and responds to ad hoc data requests, ranging from basic to intermediate.
  • Prepare reports, graphs, charts and statistics in support of human resources operations. 
  • Establish and maintain effective collaboration with other departments to ensure essential functional support is provided to the company in a timely manner.
  • Leverage HRIS capabilities with guidance from the HRIS and Payroll Lead to support department and business objectives.
  • Work with HRIS leader and IT management to develop plans for proposed systems, functionalities, and enhancements.
  • Serve as a point of contact for managers and employees for questions and problems relating to the HRIS system and employee data, including system password resets and access assistance.
  • Assist with company reporting, integration processes, and workflow design and improvement.
  • Manage Helpdesk (HRIS inbox) and provide Tier 1 support to end users of all systems supported by the HRIS Team
  • Troubleshoot requests and escalate as needed
  • Maintain awareness of current trends in HRIS with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support, and applying key technologies.
  • Examine trends in information system training, materials and techniques. Through classes, reading, CBTs or other mechanisms, continuously increase both HR knowledge and HRIS application /tools knowledge. Participate in user group meetings/conferences.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor Degree in Human Resources, Business or IT System Administration or closely related field.
  • Three to Five years of progressive HRIS experience, preferably analytics and reporting experience.
  • Proven strong understanding of HR System design and administration including maintenance experience in a global business environment.
  • Experience with Ultimate Software, Kronos Workforce Timekeeper (version 7 or higher), SuccessFactors or similar.
  • MS Office which includes knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook
  • Knowledge of laws related to human resources and payroll, including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, Wage & Hour and EEO regulations
  • Excellent communication skills, both orally and written
  • Skilled in project management, report writing and process improvement
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, multi-task, manage time effectively and analytically solve problems
  • Ability to work independently and on cross-functional project teams
