Assistant Controller

The University of Nebraska at Omaha is seeking an
Assistant Controller
Controller’s Office

The Assistant Controller is responsible for assisting the Controller with the financial accounting functions of the campus. These functions include establishing and maintaining ledgers, accounting principles, practices, internal controls and procedures. This position is also responsible for monitoring and maintaining financial records for two student housing units managed by a third party, maintaining accounting records for bond related projects, reviewing journal entries, calculating allowed statutory cash balances, reviewing bank reconciliations, assisting with year-end work paper preparation, assisting with year-end reporting and coordination of the annual audits, and researching accounting technical issues. This position will also assist the Controller in identifying, establishing, and streamlining efficiencies in business processes and other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
·        Bachelor’s Degree
·        5+ years of experience
·        CPA

Salary Information: negotiable
