Winter Internship with Congressman Adam Smith

Congressman Adam Smith’s office is always accepting applications from college students and recent grads that are interested in interning in both his district office in Renton and in his Washington, D.C. office! These are great opportunities to begin your journey into politics, and to gain lifelong skills and experiences that will help you down the road.

 

By assisting the Renton district office staff, interns have the opportunity to gain firsthand knowledge about how a Congressional office provides constituent services and interacts with the community. Interns in the Washington, D.C. office will have an opportunity to learn about the legislative process and the federal government by working closely with legislative, communications and constituent services staff members. Candidates who are chosen for the Washington, D.C. office are responsible for paying their travel and living expenses. Interns in any office can arrange to receive academic credit for their work in either office.
