Accounting Solutions Consultant – Intern

From internal controls to process to accounting transactions and everything in between, our integrated solution approach is designed to help enable and manage growth, leverage resources, and mitigate costs and risks.   
 
Your role.   
As an accounting solutions consultant, we’ll give you the flexibility to integrate people issues with business strategies as you venture into figuring out the major business drivers. You’ll be instrumental in serving our clients through accounting solutions that have direct impact to our clients overall business processes. Your work will include, but not be limited to:   

Client accounting services:
-Perform a variety of accounting functions including, but not limited to:
  • Monthly financial close 
  • Financial account reconciliations 
  • Preparation of balance sheets and income statements 
  • Preparation of sales/payroll/property tax filings 
  • Preparation and filing of Forms 1099 
-Evaluation of business and accounting processes and procedures 
-Recognize and provide recommendations for improvements to accounting processes and systems 

Interacts with other practice areas within management consulting and other practice areas including but not limited to audit, tax, wealth management and consulting. 

The qualifications. 
  • Detail-oriented leader with problem solving, communication, critical thinker, organizational, technical and analytical skills. 
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics, finance, or related field. 
  • Academic success (a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0). 
  • Preferred: On track to complete the requisite degree and supporting credits to sit for the CPA exam, with the goal of successfully obtaining your CPA license.

This is an exempt position that may require some local, national, and occasional international travel.
