Spring Intern, Anti-Corruption and Governance Center

Company Overview
The Anti-Corruption and Governance Center (ACGC) focuses on streamlining CIPE’s existing programming and exploring innovative approaches based on new partnerships, economic trends, and law enforcement priorities. ACGC is seeking an Intern to support our developing social presence and stature in the anti-corruption community. The Intern will work with the Center’s director and marketing consultant to enhance the Center’s social media presence by working on our Business of Integrity blog and other social media accounts. The Intern will also conduct various research tasks to help Center staff write blogs and other outward facing materials, source speaking opportunities, and coordinate staff involvement events.
Reports To: Director of Anti-Corruption & Governance Center
Time frame: Interns are expected to start by January 21, 2020 and commit a minimum of 20 hours per week. This internship is unpaid; a transportation stipend is provided.
Learning Objectives:
  • Acquire knowledge in international relations and development
  • Develop analytical skills by reviewing anti-corruption compliance materials
  • Develop marketing and social media expertise through the curation of the Business of Integrity blog
  • Improve research skills by conducting a variety of research tasks related to global anti-corruption trends
  • Develop public relations skillset by coordinating with preeminent NGOs, think tanks, and business associations across the globe
Key Areas of Responsibility:
  • Curate and support the Business of Integrity blog
  • Conduct various research tasks for the Center focusing on worldwide anti-corruption trends
  • Write blogs and provide proofreading support for the Business of Integrity blog and other outward facing research reports and written articles
  • Coordinate with the Center’s director and program officer to support the Center’s public outreach strategy
  • Research various organizations for speaking and panel opportunities to determine if taking part will benefit CIPE and the Center
  • Engage various organizations to ensure a role for Center staff at the various events
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • An undergraduate (junior standing or higher) or graduate students are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong research, analytical, and writing skills
  • Ability to consolidate and synthesize large amounts of information and present in an organized and concise way
  • Basic understanding of corporate anti-corruption compliance requirements and international standards
  • Strong writing, grammar, and proofreading skills
  • Solid understanding of blogs, Twitter, and other forms of social media
  • Comfortable engaging various organizations and high-level organizational officials
  • Strong attention to detail
