Technical Director, PT, 10-month position, minimum starting salary of $24,900.
Regional Physical Facilities (Middletown Campus): Technical Director of the Dave Finkelman Auditorium to direct the planning and execution of lighting, sound, and stage setup for all events in the facility based on advance technical riders, contracts and information from users; hire, schedule, train, and supervise student technician staff to meet the service needs of all the events; provide written and verbal information and recommendations for facility and equipment specifications and use, as well as cost estimates as needed, to campus management and facility users; provide reports and documentation which reflects staffing, materials, equipment and other costs associated with an event’s production and operation of the facility; provide regular maintenance or recommend service of all staging equipment and technical spaces; performs other duties as required or assigned.
Work performed in a theater, stage, production or office environment. Hours of work will vary with a combination of day, evening, and weekend according to the needs of the College.
Require: Bachelor’s Degree in Theater or related field and three years of experience in technical directing or other related professional work, or Master’s Degree in Theater or related field and two years of professional experience; comprehensive knowledge of various lighting, sound and rigging equipment. Position is not eligible for H-1B sponsorship.
