Chicago Booth Professor Anita Rao seeks one full-time Research Professional for a period of at least one year, but ideally two years, to assist with empirical research and quantitative marketing problems and to provide other support associated with faculty research. The ideal candidate will have (i) strong data-analysis background; (ii) proficiency with data analysis software such as STATA or R and with web crawling software; (iii) ability to work independently to solve problems; and (iv) long-term interest in pursuing research in marketing or economics. Candidates need not be economics majors, though they should have a strong interest in or some experience with economics, business, or marketing.
The Research Professional will July 1, 2020, though start dates earlier in 2020 are feasible and, in fact, preferred. Applications will be evaluated on a rolling basis, but applications submitted by November 15, 2019 will be given full consideration.
We pay an annual salary of $50,000 and provide standard benefits such as health insurance.
