Meteorologist

KELOLAND Media Group has an opportunity to work with an industry innovator in weather coverage. Ideal candidate must be both a knowledgeable and effective communicator both on-air and online. Accuracy is essential and on-air presentation must be clear and easy to understand. In order to join our four-person weather team, you must hold or be eligible for the NWA and AMS/CBM seals. You will be expected to do weather-related reporting on a regular basis. Experience in storm chasing is desired and radar identification of severe weather is important, as we own three Doppler radars. Flexibility in scheduling is necessary due to changing weather.

Knowledge and experience in operating WSI and Baron weather graphics systems is preferred. Ability to maintain a SD drivers license is required for storm chasing.

Ability to effectively communicate the day’s weather story to viewers. Interested candidates need to submit a recent demo reel (link to streaming video acceptable), along with a resume which demonstrates qualifications for this job.
