Job Description
Seagate's Recording Head Operations Advanced Assembly Development organization is seeking a Software Engineering Intern to lead automated equipment software development projects during summer 2020. This position will be located in our Bloomington, MN facility.
About the role:
- Learn the software engineering fundamentals of automated assembly equipment used in recording head manufacturing, which include software interaction with motion control, digital and analog I/O, vision guided image process, etc.
- Perform equipment software development, optimization, debug and test process, to compliment new automated equipment.
- Creating technical documentation to communicate results to the engineering community and share improvements.
About you:
- Completed at least two years of a BS degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering field.
- GPA 3.0 or above.
- Familiar with Microsoft Visual Studio .Net C# programming language.
- Strong practical lab skills including hands-on software troubleshooting of automated equipment.
- Data analysis experience using Excel, JMP or Minitab.
- Must be highly motivated and self-directed
