Kindergarten Teacher

Meet elementary education certification requirements of the Department of Education, State of Iowa; reading and/or math Endorsement preferred; early childhood endorsement preferred for K/1 teaching positions; prior successful teaching experience preferred; evidence of contributions to a professional learning community and team; evidence of effective teaching as demonstrated in student data; history of excellent attendance in prior work settings; good communicator with staff, students, and families; problem-solving skills, ability to be solutions-focused; supportive, with the belief of “whatever it takes” for students to be successful; culturally responsive. Ability to understand and use data to inform instructional decisions that will impact student success; ability to work in a collaborative environment (both team and building) to plan, prepare, analyze student evidence for adjusted instruction; actively engage in professional growth at an individual, building, and district level; demonstrate competence in building relationships with students; has a belief that ALL students can learn and are capable.
