Noran Neurological Clinic has been serving the Greater Minneapolis-St Paul Area for over 45 years. The clinic has 6 metro locations and the position would be located primarily at our Blaine office with occasional travelling to our Lake Elmo and Minneapolis locations.
The scribe position is full-time, Monday - Friday. We look for a full 2 year commitment. It’s a great opportunity for pre-med students to gain experience prior to medical school. A Noran Clinic scribe will work alongside a neurologist on a continuous basis, in clinic and at the hospital; at times accompanying the physician in exam rooms.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare and maintain the patient’s medical record helping to ensure complete and accurate documentation of patient visits.
- Document history of present illness, family and social history, review of systems, and physical exam, review and manage incoming laboratory or testing results, update the patient’s medication and allergy lists all under the supervision of the neurologist.
Qualifications and Skills
- 6 months experience as a Medical Scribe and/or Bachelor’s degree
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Proficiency in data entry via a computer
