Scouting & Agronomy Intern - Evergreen FS - Macon, McLean, DeWitt, Livingston & Woodford Counties

Overview
 
If you enjoy being outside and are interested in gaining hands-on Agronomy and Scouting experience, then we can’t wait to talk to you! We are looking for an Scouting & Agronomy Operations Intern that is eager to go above and beyond helping our customers. Learn and gain hands-on experience in all the aspects of crop scouting and agronomy operations. 
 
Key Responsibilities
 
Operate field research and crop monitoring equipment and technology for scouting.
 
Ulitze crop scouting technology to document all findings, completes inspection reports, and provides reports to agronomy specialist.
 
Learn and assist in all areas of agronomy operations including product knowledge, blending, storage, transport.  
 
Learn about the operation and application techniques for application equipment. 
 
Attends scheduled technical training sessions and meetings.
 
Performs all other duties as assigned.
 
Required Qualifications
 
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and currently pursuing a degree or certification from a 2- or 4-year college or university in good acedemic standing.

Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, a satisfactory driving record, and the ability to travel independently as needed.

Occasionally exposed or required to work in extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.).
 
Must be able to walk crop fields and conduct visual inspections of crops.
 
Frequently required to lift 50 pounds or more. Frequently exposed to dust, heat, and high noise level.
 
Ability to work hours beyond those considered normal.
