Position Description:
The General Dynamics Land Systems Intern Program provides an opportunity for students looking to start or continue the transition from academia into industry. Our three month internship assignments provide compensation based on area of study and class standing, and have the students embedded in key functional areas of our business, getting real world experience and mentorship from seasoned professionals.
Individual will be exposed to the different areas of Human Resources within General Dynamics Land Systems through working with the systems and the data in the HR Business Systems organization which supports Talent Acquisition & Development, Total Rewards, Global Mobility,  International HR and US HR Business Partners. The individual will assist with software implementations, data analysis, and projects aligning Workplace of Choice strategy to business needs. The HR intern will gain a knowledge base about General Dynamics Land Systems and the defense industry as a whole. Individual must be detail oriented, able to solve problems, and think creatively.

Position Requirements:
Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Management Information Systems or Information Technology from an accredited 4 year university or college.
  • Must have attained at least a sophomore status based on the university/college's class standing requirements at start of internship.
  • Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 is preferred
  • Candidates must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be a U.S. Person (i.e. a lawful permanent resident of the U.S.)
  • Candidates must successfully pass standard pre-employment screens and must provide an original transcript from their school before their first day of employment.
  • Students must be able to complete a minimum of a full time, 3 month assignment
