Agtegra Summer Internships
We are currently recruiting for our 2020 Summer Internship Class.
We have a great Intern Program full of opportunities for students to learn about our industry. We hold an Intern Kick-Off in May to begin the season, where you will have the opportunity to network with other interns, get introduced to the Leadership and Management Team, and we will also have some training for you that afternoon. In August, we hold an Intern Wrap-Up session where you will give a 3-5 minute presentation on your summer, from things you liked, advise for next year’s interns, and the projects you worked on, etc. This is a paid internship, with the opportunity to earn a scholarship up to $750.
Agronomy Operations- Assists with the mixing/blending of chemicals and fertilizer, calibrates and operates machines, and learns the mechanics of different equipment.

Crop Scout- Scouts fields and makes recommendations with assistance from sales agronomists. Make deliveries of feed, seed, chemical, and fertilizer. This internship will concentrate on test plots and soil sampling.

Grain Operations/Marketing- Works with the location grain supervisor to learn how to grade/blend grain and load trains and trucks. They will also learn the day-day operations of the location. They will have the opportunity to learn the business side of grain by working with the location manager and grain originator. Will learn about markets, marketing, and different business aspects of the industry.

Research & Seed Plot- This internship will help with spring supply logistics (delivering seed, managing inventory, etc.), learn how to calibrate and maintain seed treaters and help troubleshoot issues during treating season. They will also work on research plots throughout Agtegra to include: Plot seed organization and distribution, help with plot maintenance including: Fertilizing, Planting, Spraying, Mowing, Tilling Collecting data (pictures, yield estimates, notes, etc.). This is an excellent opportunity to learn about seed industry dynamics and the role that research plays in production agriculture

Truck Driving/Applicator- Drives dry tender truck to the airflow machines and drives liquid truck to the sprayers. Assists as needed delivering chemical and seed. This person may also drive our application equipment.
