Internship description:

Are you passionate about learning new things? Do you enjoy a challenge and a fast-paced environment? If so, this opportunity could be for you. We are looking for two part-time summer interns who are passionate about staying on the forward edge of the marketing landscape and putting their skills to the test.


The 2020 Summer Internship Program is a unique, 8-week opportunity that provides an intern with hands-on experience and an overview of the functions that are performed at a healthcare marketing agency on a daily basis with a specific focus narrowing in on the account services or creative team. You will have the opportunity to assist teams on a variety of projects that will not only enhance your understanding of agency functions but will also help bring our clients success. 


The internship will begin June 8 and end on July 31, but dates may be flexible based on your academic calendar. You will be expected to work Monday through Friday and will be paid $13/hour (30-hour week) and receive a paycheck every 2 weeks.


Job functions and responsibilities:

Account Services: 

- Participate in internal team meetings for both current clients and new business opportunities

- Learn how to dissect a brand through strategy and market place 

- Assist with project submissions, project briefs, client presentations, budgeting

- Observe how to nurture healthy client relationships

- Research current trends in the healthcare industry


Creative (Art or Copy): 

- Participate in internal team meetings for both current clients and new business opportunities

- Learn about building a brand and special considerations for doing creative in the healthcare industry

- Learn the process of concepting and pitching a new business idea/project 

- Understand the creative process from copy to layout, print production, digital production, broadcast production, social









Requirements and qualifications include, but are not limited to:

·      Specific interest in account services or creative track at an agency 

·      Must be currently enrolled in a BA or BS program as a junior or senior

·      Must have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher

·      Ability to demonstrate strong communication skills

·      Ability to demonstrate creative problem-solving skills

·      Organized, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments

·      Demonstrated passion for the industry by keeping up with latest news, trends, etc.

·      Interest in healthcare is a plus 

·      Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and internet applications

·      Knowledge in Keynote, PowerPoint, and Prezi are aplus


*Please note that summer interns are responsible for providing their own housing in Chicago for the duration of the internship.
