Job Description

The Operations Associate role is for you if you’re interested in working collaboratively with multi-million dollar business owners to offer guidance to help them run high-functioning restaurants. Our training program was designed to provide a smooth transition into McDonald’s so you don’t have to worry – if you bring interest in learning and working hard, we will bring the know-how. You will receive coaching from industry leaders who want you to succeed and take pride in developing future leaders at McDonald’s.

Why You’ll Want This Job

Initial training includes interactive sessions at our state-of-the-art Headquarters in Chicago IL, as well as in restaurants and in the field to build restaurant performance expertise. Operations Associates travel for consultations with restaurant owners to evaluate restaurant operations and consult to help each multi-million dollar restaurant operate at peak efficiency levels to deliver top-notch results. You will develop a holistic restaurant operations skillset through rotations and training, and can apply that knowledge to improving business results. Upon building that foundation, leaders will look to you for guidance as a Subject Matter Expert for specific assigned initiatives.

Successful fulfillment of the Operations Associate role typically opens the door for eligibility for promotion to the Franchise Business Partner position. In addition, the capabilities you will acquire set you up for a variety of career paths depending on your interests and strengths, so know that beginning your career in the McDonald’s Leadership Program is choosing to give yourself options.
