Fundraising Specialist VISTA

Do you have the education but need the experience? This is an ideal position for someone who wants a year of intense experience performing job fuctions that you couldn't do in in an entry-level position. This is ideal for someone who needs a break before going to graduate school or on a break from college, or a mid-career professional who wants experience in order to break into the nonprofit sector. AmeriCorps VISTA positions are 1 year and similar to the Peace Corps. The Fundraising Specialist will work with the Executive Director to improve KidSight’s fundraising program and processes to increase KidSight’s capacity to serve children who need vision care but do not have adequate insurance coverage. Activities will include improving the relationship processes for donors and the development of new fundraising strategies. The VISTA position is an opportunity to develop KidSight’s ability to serve children and their families while gaining valuable experience in nonprofit operations.
